TEC – Loading Docks/In-Plant Bldg.

Powers & Associates provided Design-Build services to Tractor & Equipment Co. for these new loading docks and ‘in-plant’ building. This project involved careful planning as the client needed to remain operational throughout construction. Sitework for the loading docks’ involved sensitive excavation with tight tolerances around existing utilities. A new grated trench drain catches stormwater that enters the pit. The existing structure was modified to allow for new coiling doors, exhaust fans/louvers, and canopies. New railings, bollards, and parking bumpers were incorporated for safety. The 1,200 SF internal 2-story structure includes offices and restrooms on the lower level with a breakroom upstairs overlooking every corner of the 55k SF parts warehouse.
