Powers & Associates provided Design-Build services to Dave & Jennifer Synder for this new restaurant buildout located in Trussville, AL. This project included the complete demolition and remodel of an existing unit in a multi-tenant building. The extensive demolition phase included the removal of the existing hard tile, ductwork, ceilings, slab, and walls throughout. Plumbing and electrical systems were also replaced and reconfigured to accommodate the walk-in cooler, rack ovens, mixers, and even a large milling machine (yes, they do mill their own wheat). The new finishes in the kitchen areas include acoustical ceilings, FRP panels, and epoxy floors and walls. The dining area models the industrial farmhouse theme with new finishes including painted exposed structural and ducts overhead, stained concrete floors, and a full-height wall mural. The custom woodwork, repurposed corrugated metal, and polished & stainless steel surfaces coordinate well with the bright red accents and fixtures. With limited space, it was a challenge getting the bread factory in the back while keeping a comfortable dining area upfront, but it turned out great!
