Powers & Associates provided Design-Build services to Tractor & Equipment Company for this existing heavy equipment sales and service facility located in Columbus, GA. This new addition and renovation utilized a pre-engineered metal building roof, vertical wall panels, and a contrasting EIFS system at the main entrance. The new shop includes two 10-ton bridge cranes, six overhead coiling doors, continuous wall lights spanning two sides, a storage mezzanine, and convenient access to adjacent break room, locker room, and restrooms. LED panels and simple saver insulation contribute to energy efficiency while providing a clean look throughout the facility. The newly renovated retail area was formerly a parts inventory warehouse. Now this new space features a large sales floor with an overhead coiling door; accessible and unisex restrooms; storefront wall systems at new perimeter offices, conference room, and front entrance; and exposed spiral ducts and skylights overhead. The newly renovated parts warehouse was converted from an old shop to accommodate a new layout for parts inventory and a hydraulic hose assembly station. The sitework for this project included demolition of an existing single story building, erosion control, grading & drainage, underground detention, a new detached bi-level loading dock with ramps for forklift access, concrete paving, curb & gutter, sidewalk, landscaping, and irrigation.
